Green sandpiper eye to eye

This shot show a close portrait of the green sandpiper from a muddy pond in north Israel, green sandpiper are called green sandpipers in the common name but their wings are really more black then green,

they are one of the specious that arrive very early to Israel in the fall  ( June  ) migration and large population stay for the all winter .

they have a vast ecological world area from Africa Israel and Europe to south east Asia and japan , all of the population is migrating south of their northern habited  in the winter .

they like to feed on muddy water , shallow ponds, and even puddles , they eat invertebrate , crabs, worms , and even fish sometime .

because they are a very worry specious that will fly very fast if it feel disturb is coming , the only way to work with them is under full camouflage like I always work, and also in this session .
