This shot of the male ( female are yellow ) violet dragonfly has been taken with a telephoto lens during my work on kestrel project , the violet dragonfly like all dragon fly are fierce predator of small insects , the violet dragon fly have large geographical area from Europe trough Israel to Africa and it is abundant , especially neat water .
